April 17th 2013, Rosida Idriss of Rai Seafoods presents SRS with two night vision binoculars donated by Benchmark Ltd. (UK company), to support the activities of the Rhino Patrol Unit (RPU) at Way Kambas National Forest.

New Rhino Entrance the JRSCA Area

The Coordinator of Habitat Management Program of Javan Rhino Study and Conservation Area (JRSCA), Mr. Rusdianto, reported that a female and infant rhino entered the areas of JRSCA, Ujung Kulon National Park. Mr. Rusdianto and team encountered the footprints in March 21st, 2013 in Seuseupan (Ciprepet) area. The footprints has been measured as 18 – 19 cm and 24 – 25 cm. These footprints has been encountered again in March 24th, 2013 in plot 2 of Langkap control site in Kalajetan area. These rhinos has fed some foodplants in the area such as kitanah, harendong, and pisang kole (banana).

Pada tanggal 27 Februari 2013 bertempat di kantor Yayasan Badak Indonesia telah dilakukan penandatanganan Perjanjian Kerjasama antara Balai Taman Nasional Ujung Kulon yang diwakili oleh Kepala Balai TNUK, Dr. Ir. Moh. Haryono, M.Si dan Yayasan Badak Indonesia yang diwakili oleh Direktur Eksekutif, Drs. Widodo S. Ramono.
Andatu's Growth Amazingly

Andatu growths rapidly as on January 28, 2013 reported that his weight was over 250 kilos, with active behavior including eating behavior. Different types of foodplants (leaves and fruits) have to be consumed very well by Andatu, although the Keeper still help to feed him by hand (hand feeding).
Pembangunan JRSCA Dilanjutkan

Kegiatan pembangunan Javan Rhino Study and Conservation Area (JRSCA) di Taman Nasional Ujung Kulon yang sempat terhenti beberapa waktu lalu, kini sudah dapat dilanjutkan kembali. Menteri Kehutanan melalui surat nomor S.511/Menhut-IV/2012 tertanggal 6 November 2012 menyatakan bahwa pada prinsipnya menyetujui kegiatan JRSCA di TNUK untuk dilanjutkan kembali namun secara bertahap sesuai dengan kebutuhan prioritas dan sumber daya yang tersedia.
